Born in Skopje in the Republic of Macedonia, Tomislav Dimov began performing in earnest at age 14 and appeared many times as a soloist with the Macedonian National Philharmonic Orchestra, playing violin concertos of Lalo, Mendelssohn, Mozart and Tchaikovsky, and won First Prizes at national competitions. He moved to the United States in 1997. Mr. Dimov has performed as a guest soloist with Philharmonic Orchestras in the Europe, Asia and America. He recently held a Solo Recital in Toronto, Canada and performed as a soloist with the Butler County Symphony. He has held concerts for the Kent State University-Ashtabula Concert Series and made a concert tour through Western Pennsylvania and Ohio. Mr. Dimov has also made solo concert tours in United States, Canada, France, Ukraine, Russia, Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovenia, Yugoslavia and Macedonia. Through the years, Dimov has been a member of many orchestras, including: the Czech Radio Symphony, the Macedonian Philharmonic and the Grand Canary Philharmonic Orchestra. He is currently Concertmaster of the Butler County Symphony Orchestra and Artistic Director and Conductor of The Pittsburgh Youth Chamber Soloists. He is a busy teacher and serves on the faculty of St. Vincent College in Latrobe and Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. From
2003 till 2005, Dr. Dimov served as a head of the String Program for the
