MING TSU

Ming Tsu has concertized in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe and Southeast Asia, and her performances have been broadcast on German National Radio and Radio King FM in Seattle. In addition to the traditional piano and chamber music repertoire, Ms. Tsu has been equally involved with the performance of contemporary music, having collaborated with the Aurage New Music Ensemble in Calgary, Contemporary Group in Seattle, Brandenburgisches Colloquium für Neue Musik in Berlin and the Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik in Darmstadt. Ms. Tsu serves as pianist of two times GRAMMY® Award winning Southwest Chamber Music and performs in various summer festivals in the U.S. Recently, she recorded the complete chamber works for piano and strings by Carlos Chávez as well as chamber music by Chinary Ung on Cambria Records.

In addition to her performing career, Ms. Tsu has dedicated herself to an active teaching schedule and has become a much sought after adjudicator in California. She has given master classes at the Hanoi National Conservatory in Vietnam and the Phnom Penh Royal University of Fine Arts in Cambodia. After serving as Assistant Instructor in piano at Indiana University and coordinator of the secondary piano department at University of Washington, she became a member of the piano faculties at Pacific Lutheran University and the Music Academy Northwest in Seattle. Ms. Tsu’s students have gone on to continue their studies at prestigious schools such as the Peabody Conservatory, the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, the California Institute of the Arts and University of Washington. Ms. Tsu was founding director of the Young Internationals Chamber Music Society and has served as Director of Chamber Music and Piano Seminars at the Orange County High School of the Arts in Santa Ana, California.

Ms. Tsu earned degrees from the New England Conservatory of Music, Indiana University, and the University of Washington.
