Recently
became a United States resident, was born in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine,
to a family of professional violinists. He earned his Master’s Degree
at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where he studied with the renowned
professor Marina Yashvili. During his graduate and post-graduate years,
Mr. Didorenko appeared as a soloist with Moscow Symphony Orchestra and
Moscow Camerata Chamber Orchestra; his performances were broadcast live
on National TV. In 1999, he accepted the section principal position with
the Kaohsiung City Symphony Orchestra in Taiwan. There he regularly performed
as a soloist, and was also a co-founder of Sonore and Counterpoint Piano
Trios. During this period, many of his works for violin were composed
and successfully performed throughout Taiwan, Russia, and Ukraine. While
teaching violin and performing, Andrii Didorenko has been building his
career as a rock musician: his Moscow-based band, Lost World, in which
he is the principal author of music and lyrics as well as the violin,
guitar, and bass guitar player, released the album Trajectories in the
Spring of 2003. Another, all-instrumental album, is due out later this
fall.
